prada swings.

For most people, it’s a bit late in the year to be thinking about sunglasses. Summer has passed, you’ve been on your hols, the need for shade against searing sunshine has passed. If you’re in the UK, you might debate that the need was never actually there…

I, however, will be holidaying late this year. For me, it makes no sense to jet off to somewhere warmer when we barely get any summer of our own to enjoy. So, it is now that I have started paying attention to such items as sunglasses and sarongs. And I was ecstatically happy when I delved into the November issues of British Vogue to be greeted by this lovely sunglasses ad for Prada Swing.

Why was I so happy? Well, as chic as they may be, I am not a fan of the massively over-sized bug-eyed shades. I don’t think they look good on anyone. And they look even worse on me. I have a tiny little face, so they basically swamp me and make me look like The Fly.

The Prada Swing sunnies scream classic film goddess chic. Elegant and classy – two departments I could use some help in – and perfect for showing off those cheekbones and the finer features of the petite-faced urchin.

So, as it’s lunchtime, i’m off to Westfield to get me some Prada Swing’s as part of my 3-week countdown to sunny times ahead…

(Working this close to Westfield is very, very bad.)

Those are fab!! I need to buy some decent glasses but I’ve got my heart set on a pair of old school Ray Ban Wayfarers.
