ar: hidden exhibition

Yesterday I gave you a bit of info about augmented reality. As the technology grows and more people start to come up with innovative and exciting ways to use this tech, we should start to see some pretty cool stuff happening.

Like this for example: the augmented reality art invasion taking over MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York. The exhibition isn’t actually condoned by MoMA and so will only run for a few hours on 9th October – sort of a guerilla exhibition.

All you need to do is rock up to MoMA with either an iPhone or android phone that has the Dutch AR and Layar apps installed. Take with you the map of hidden exhibits and enjoy exploring the galleries for the exhibition that others around you can’t see.

For budding digital artists, the organisers are still taking submissions…

So, the question is can I get time of work and head over to NY this weekend?!
